For our summer 2026 ceremonies, how and when you receive your certificate will look a little different. Our graduation events are taking place as usual, and we invite everyone to come and celebrate your hard work and time at Nottingham with friends and loved ones.

However, these events will not be the official conferral of your degree, which will happen separately. This means that attendance at graduation does not automatically mean your award has been conferred or that you will receive your certificate

You will receive a paper copy of their degree certificate and diploma supplement (which is a transcript of your module marks) in the post, this will be sent to you in August. You will also receive a digital copy of your degree certificate and diploma supplement in our online portal, PremierCert+.

For UK-based addresses you can expect to receive your certificate by the end of January (for December graduation ceremonies) and by the end of August (for July graduation ceremonies).

For international addresses you can expect to receive your certificate by the end of February (for December graduation ceremonies) and by the end of September (for July graduation ceremonies).

Once your graduation ceremony has concluded, we will provide you with a link to our online portal where you will be able to view, download, print and share, digital copies of your degree certificate and diploma supplement (containing a transcript of your module marks). This link will be sent to your personal email address and will continue to work even once you’ve left the university.

If you are going to use your document overseas, you may need to have it legalised before it will be accepted.  You can find out more about having your document legalised at https://www.gov.uk/get-document-legalised
